We usually see her in romantic comedies, but Jennifer Lopez can play a bad a$$ as good as anybody.
The trailer for her upcoming action movie "The Mother" has been released, showing she's great at action roles.
Per the movie's synopsis, Lopez plays a deadly assassin who comes out of hiding to protect the daughter she gave up years before while on the run from dangerous men.
The trailer shows her training in a remote area, living off the grid, but she quickly returns to the real world when her daughter goes missing. It's enough to bring out the momma bear in anybody.
It's not the first time Lopez has played the role of a tough protective mother.
In 2002 she starred in the film "Enough" as a woman who trains in Krav Maga to fight her abusive husband.
"The Mother" will be released on Netflix in 2023.
