Jeremy Renner will sit down with Diane Sawyer to discuss his near deadly accident nearly four months ago.
Since January 1, 2023, people worldwide have followed his recovery after an Arctic Cat snowplow crushed him.
In a teaser interview clip, he says he remembers every minute of pain he went through as he was awake for all of it.
On that day, while helping people dig out of their driveways, the plow began to roll toward Renner's nephew. He tried climbing back on board to stop the machine when he was pulled under.
Renner suffered 30 broken bones, a caved-in chest and endured multiple surgeries. Despite all that, he says he would do it again if it meant saving someone.
"Yeah, I'd do it again because it's going right at my nephew," he said
Sawyer also spoke with Renner's nephew, who says he remembers seeing his uncle in a pool of blood, thinking he wasn't alive.
Renner admits he was worried about what his body would look like when he began the recovery process.
"I've lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I've been refuelled and refilled with love and titanium."
"Renner: The Diane Sawyer Interview – A Story of Terror, Survival and Triumph" will air Thursday, April 6, on ABC and stream the next day.
