A 32-year-old Keswick man was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after the trench he was working in collapsed, trapping him under dirt and plywood.
It happened around 2p.m. Tuesday afternoon on Reagens Industrial Pkwy in Bradford.
The man was extricated by Bradford West Gwillimbury Firefighters and received initial treatment on scene before being transported via Ornge Air Ambulance to a Toronto trauma centre.
The Ministry of Labour has been contacted and will be investigating.
