A man is facing charges in connection with a robbery at a Bradford store.

Around 6 p.m. Sunday, South Simcoe Police responded to a robbery at a business in the area of Holland Street.

Police say they determined a man entered the store and produced a black folding knife, then threatened the employee and demanded money.

"The employee refused and the suspect eventually fled with stolen goods," police said in a news release.

A suspect was arrested a short distance away.

A 38-year-old from Bradford was charged with robbery, failing to comply with an undertaking, possession of property obtained by crime, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon and disguise with intent.

The accused was held for a bail hearing.
