Linda O’Leary not guilty in 2019 fatal boat crash in Muskoka

The collision happened on Lake Joseph

Linda O’Leary has been found not guilty in connection with a deadly boat crash in August 2019 that killed two people on Lake Joseph in Muskoka.

The verdict was handed down in a Parry Sound court this morning.

O’Leary had been charged with careless operation of a vessel under the Canada Shipping Act.

The trial garnered extra attention as O’Leary is the wife of celebrity businessman Kevin O’Leary.

She was at the helm of the boat when the collision happened. Her husband was on board, as was a family friend.

The collision killed two people on the other boat, 48-year-old Suzana Brito of Uxbridge and 64-year-old Gary Poltash of Florida.

Three others were hurt.
