Dental Surgeon Gets Liberal Nod For BSOM
Kalliecharan Acclaimed By Committee
Some local Liberals have acclaimed themselves a candidate for the coming federal election.
Dr. Brian Kalliecharan, a 53-year-old Dental Surgeon, was the only candidate in the running for the Barrie-Springwater-Oro Medonte federal riding and got a committee green light. An August 26th party meeting to elect a candidate was subsequently cancelled.
Kalliecharan will go up against Doug Shipley of the Conservatives, Dan Janssen of the New Democrats, and Marty Lancaster of the Greens.
