Local health unit seeking vaccination clinic volunteers

non-clinical duties including monitoring waiting room, assisting clients, and more

The local health unit is looking for a few good volunteers.

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit (SMDHU) is accepting applications for volunteer support in COVID-19 vaccination clinics in Barrie, Innisfil, Orillia, Bracebridge, and Huntsville. These volunteers would be responsible for non-clinical support, and responsibilities would include monitoring waiting areas, assisting and directing clients, and carrying out disinfecting procedures.

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, be able to stand for long periods of time, work both indoors and out, wear personal protective equipment, and have a clean criminal record.

Anyone interested in applying to be a volunteer at one of the SMDHU’s vaccination clinics should read the health unit’s website for more information and fill out an application afterwards. Inquiries can be sent to HRCOVID19volunteer@smdhu.org
