Barrie police say a lockdown at Innisdale Secondary School on Tuesday was the result of an incident nearby that prompted officers to respond shortly after 12 noon to a report of an injured person.

Police communications coordinator Peter Leon told Barrie 360 that several people have been taken to police headquarters for further investigation.

The lockdown at the Bayview Drive school was in place for about an hour and a half.
