You’ll be working for the weekend until they turn you loose into Kempenfest this year. Just announced, Loverboy will be headlining the August festival’s Saturday show.
Known for hits like Working for The Weekend and Turn Me Loose, the Canadian rock group will play the festival on August 3rd, with gates opening at 11:00 that morning. Loverboy will be joined by Teenage Head, with musical acts beginning at noon and running until 10pm
Plenty of music and live entertainment on offer throughout the day Sunday as well, before another special act takes the spotlight; Midland-native The Martels will be joined by special guests The Dreamboats on Monday afternoon.
Kempenfest takes place August 2nd to the 5th this year. It is made up of a number of local not-for-profit organizations that come together to pull off the waterfront festival, as they’ve done for the past 45 years.
