A Bracebridge man had to be airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre following a collision near Milford Bay on Monday morning.
First responders including the Muskoka Lakes Fire Service, Muskoka EMS, and Bracebridge OPP were called to Muskoka Road 118 in the Milford Bay area at around 11 a.m. Monday with reports of a two-vehicle head-on crash. One driver was trapped in their vehicle and required extrication by the fire service. The 19-year-old Bracebridge man behind the wheel was airlifted from the scene to Toronto with serious injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle escaped with minor injuries.
Muskoka Road 118 was closed for the bulk of the day as police continued to investigate the circumstances leading to the collision.
