Police have taken a suspect into custody following a series of similar muggings across the region.
The first incident was reported Sunday, October 25, when a person using an ATM told the OPP they were approached by a suspect who demanded cash while holding a taser.
A similar incident was reported in Orillia the following morning. Police later connected these two incidences to hold ups at convenience stores in Gravenurst.
A suspect was arrested shortly before 11 a.m. Friday in the Township of Ramara. The suspect is also wanted by York Regional Police and the investigation continues.
