Barrie police are seeking the public's help in identifying a man after the Love Barrie sign on Heritage Park at the waterfront was damaged.
On Monday, May 22, around 7:30 p.m., police say a group of four men and one woman were seen on Dunlop Street East walking toward 5 Simcoe Street when they say a man kicked the sign, damaging one of the letters.
He is described as having a short beard, a long black sleeve shirt with "Chicago" in white lettering across the front, black shorts with white patterns, black Under Armour sandals, and a light-coloured ball cap worn backwards.
Police say they were last seen on foot in the area of Maple Street.
If you know the man, contact Barrie police or email Constable Bradley at mbradley@barriepolice.ca.
