Man stabbed during home invasion in Wasaga Beach

Provincial police are searching for two suspects after a home invasion and stabbing in Wasaga Beach.

Around 3:30 on Friday morning, officers responded to the area of River Road West and Pauline Drive for a male who had been stabbed with an edged weapon.

Investigators say the suspects entered the victim's home, an altercation ensued, and he was injured with an edged weapon. The man was transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

The first suspect is described as a white male with a buzz cut, wearing jeans, a dark sweater, and a toque.

The other suspect is a female with tanned skin, black hair, and tattoos on her arm.

Police believe this is an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.
