Police are investigating the death of a man who was struck Friday night by a vehicle on Highway 400 near County Road 88 in Bradford.

Ontario Provincial Police were alerted about the collision, in the southbound lanes, around 7:45 p.m.

Investigators are trying to determine why the man was on the highway.

The southbound lanes of the 400 at 88 were closed for several hours but have since reopened.
