She's the Queen of Christmas but could Mariah Carey have been the Queen of Rock?

We could soon find out.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the pop diva revealed she recorded a rock album in 1995, but it was deeply buried until now.

Back then, she recorded the album "Someone's Ugly Daughter," which featured her on lead vocals.

She describes her singing style in the album as "a girls' Green Day group moment."

Eventually, her label quashed the idea and replaced her vocals with another artist and her friend Clarissa Dane under the name "chick." You can hear Carey's back-up vocals on several tracks.

But now, she's teasing bringing the album to light, saying she intends to release her version with some updates.

Carey says she was heavily involved in its making back then by co-writing the lyrics, and she even designed the album cover, saying "it was a dead roach and some lipstick."

Here's one of the songs' that was released by chick in 1995, now try imaging it with Mariah's vocals.
