Despite critics trying to throw banana peels at the "Super Mario Bros" movie, the animated video game film absolutely crushed it at the box office.
The movie from Illumination Studios hit the gas pedal on Rainbow Road when it hit theatres and smashed box office records, earning $377 million worldwide.
In North America, it made $146.4 million over the weekend and $204.6 million in its first five days of release.
Its global numbers make it the best opening for an animated film since Disney's "Frozen 2," which brought in $358 million on its opening weekend.
So, if you haven't seen it yet, load the family into your go-cart, head down the pipes and shout, "lets-a-go!"
The serenade from Bowser alone is worth the price of admission.
