"Matilda the Musical" hits Netflix for the holidays and will introduce a new audience to the much-loved story.
Matilda Wormwood is a bright young child dealing with her idiot and neglectful parents. When she goes to school, she is disheartened to find it run by the despicable Principal Trunchbull, who takes joy in tormenting the children.
With the help of her kind teacher Miss Honey, she teaches the grownups a lesson, Matilda style.
The movie stars 12-year-old Alisha Weir as Matilda Wormwood and Emma Thompson, who is unrecognizable as "The Trunchbull."
