Mayor Jeff Lehman announces he is self-isolating after travelling to the US
Barrie mayor not showing any symptoms
Barrie Mayor Jeff Lehman took to twitter Monday afternoon to announce that he is self-isolating, after returning from a brief trip to the United States last week.
It's been a busy day. Given the guidance issued by the Public Health Agency regarding returning travellers, I'm self-isolating due to my brief time in the US last week. I do not have any symptoms and I have no particular cause for concern. 1/3

Lehman did emphasize that he has experienced no symptoms and the move is cautionary.
I'll have more on this in the morning. In the meantime I can't stress enough how important it is to follow the advice of public health. Now is not the time to ignore warnings or for gatherings of any kind. We all need to act now to #flattenthecurve. 3/3

Lehman’s announcement comes on the heels of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau closing Canada’s borders to all but citizens and permanent residents. The closure does not apply to family members of citizens, aircrew, diplomats, and U.S. citizens.
On Monday morning Premier Doug Ford announced new job-protection measures for employees in isolation or quarantine due to COVID-19 concerns.
