"Oh my god, it's Michael Bublé!"
Foo Fighters fans got an interesting surprise on the weekend.
During their Saturday show at the Outside Lands music festival in San Francisco, the band began playing the Canadian crooner hit "Haven't met you yet." Dave said they always call a fan on stage who thinks they know the lyrics, but no one ever does.
At that point, he spotted a fan in the audience with a sign saying, " I love Michael Bublé."
The fan hopped on stage and immediately began to serenade the rock crowd. That fan was, indeed, Buble himself.
Seeing Bublé with the Foo Fighters is quite a sight, but it sounded great.
At the end of the song, Grohl explained. "For real, we've been doing that thing where people from the audience come up and say, 'I know the f---ing song,' and they walk up, and they're like, 'I know the first verse.' They don't know it!"
"So this badass motherf*%ck#r flew in today from Argentina to fu&^!ng sing that song to you guys. Because there's no such thing as taking a joke too far."
Playing Buble's tune is a nod to the band's new drummer Josh Freese. Freese is a session drummer who has played for countless artists, including Bublé, before he officially joined the band.
