Driver dies from injuries sustained in multi-vehicle crash in Midland

Southern Georgian Bay OPP say a driver involved in a three-vehicle crash in Midland on June 5th has died from injuries.

OPP say the crash happened just after 1:00 p.m. on Simcoe Road 93, one kilometre north of Highway 12.

"One involved vehicle left the roadway as a result of the collision, all involved parties were transported to hospital," police stated in a release. "As a result of serious injuries, one party was flown to a Toronto-area hospital by ORNGE air ambulance."

Officers said on Friday that a 29-year-old Penetanguishene man, who was airlifted to Toronto, died on Saturday, June 24, from injuries sustained in the crash.

OPP say the cause of the collision continues to be investigated and no charges have been laid.
