A Tiny Township man faces opioid-related charges, among others, after he was found slumped over the steering wheel of a car in Midland.
On Monday, June 13, around 6:30 a.m., officers from Southern Georgian Bay OPP responded to a business on Midland Avenue after receiving a complaint from a member of the public.
Police say they located a quantity of drugs believed to be Blue Fentanyl as well as two prohibited weapons.
OPP say the driver was arrested, and transported to the detachment to undergo a drug recognition evaluation.
A 32-year-old is up on multiple charges including:
- Operation while impaired
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance - opioid
- Possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking - opioid
- Failing to comply with a probation order
The driver's license of the accused has been suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was towed to be impounded for seven.
OPP say he was released from police custody to appear in court at a later date.
