UPDATE 2: Ontario Provincial Police have laid nine charges against a 44-year-old Midland man in connection with an incident in the town on Wednesday morning that resulted in a hold and secure at St. Theresa's Catholic High School.
Police responded to a residence on Frazer Drive around 9 a.m. resulting in the closure of the street.
By early afternoon, a person was taken in custody.
On Thursday, police said they charged the suspect with six counts of uttering threats, two of mischief, and one of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The hold and secure at St. Theresa's Catholic High School has been lifted, police added.
The investigation is ongoing and police said they will provide an update if appropriate.

Ontario Provincial Police have put St. Theresa's Catholic High School in Midland in hold and secure in "an abundance of caution" as a result of a nearby investigation.
Police say officers responded to a Frazer Drive residence shortly after nine Wednesday morning, resulting in the closure of the street between Rose Crescent and Park Avenue. Investigators have asked people to avoid the police perimeter.
Officers at the scene are being assisted by the OPP Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit, and Crime Unit in their investigation.
Police add that updates will be provided when available.
