Midland Man Charged in Shoplifting Investigation
Two stores and a cabbie victimized
A 25-year-old Midland man is facing numerous charges after a shoplifting call at a Jones Road retail store.
OPP say they were called to the shop at 9 am October 14. Upon arrival, officers were told the suspect had left the scene in a cab.
He was found at another retail store downtown and arrested after a brief foot chase along the street behind the store.
Numerous pieces of stolen property were recovered.
Charges include:
- Theft Under $5000
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- 3 counts of Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
- Transportation Fraud related to non-payment of cab fare
