The Walmart on Highway 12 in Midland went through a deep cleaning as health officials work to confirm if an employee had contracted COVID-19.
“We are working with public health officials to confirm whether an associate from our Midland store has tested positive for COVID-19” said Walmart Director of Corporate Affairs Ada Grachnik, “we are in touch with them and providing support to them and the store’s associates.”
On the advice of public health authorities, Grachnik said the store underwent a cleansing as a precautionary measure. The store reopened early Wednesday afternoon. Grachnik says it will operate with reduced hours, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. all week.
