Missing 15-year-old Wasaga Beach boy could be headed toward Niagara Region: OPP

Rayce Harris was last seen by family near a Wasaga Beach trail on Saturday night

A 15-year-old Wasaga Beach boy who was reported missing at the weekend is believed to have hitchhiked to an Esso gas station south of Barrie, and Ontario Provincial Police say it’s possible he is headed toward Niagara Region.

Police say they were contacted by family members about the disappearance of Rayce Harris around 10:30 Sunday morning. He was last seen by his family near the Blueberry Trail in Wasaga Beach around 11 p.m. on Saturday.

Rayce is described as:

  • 6’0″, 150 pounds
  • brown hair and blue eyes
  • last seen wearing a dark-coloured t-shirt and zip-up hoodie
  • carrying a black camping-style backpack and a grey duffle bag
  • Rayce may go by the name “Ray”

He is believed to have hitchhiked to an Esso gas station on County Road 27 in Bond Head, around 1 to 1:30 p.m. on Sunday. He was last seen walking southbound on County Road 27.

Investigators believe he is travelling alone.

The reason for Rayce’s departure is unknown at this time and his family is concerned for his wellbeing.
