More than a year after Autumn Shaganash disappeared, Barrie police say they have received information that she was seen in North Bay on June 21, 2024 in the area of Regina Street and McIntyre Street East.

Police posted the information on their Facebook page.

"If you have information about Autumn's disappearance, call the Barrie Police Service Major Crime at 705 725 7025 extension 2160. If you have information about a sighting of Autumn in North Bay call the North Bay Police Service at 705-497-5555 and press 5 to speak with an officer," police stated.

Police have not confirmed the sighting.

Autumn's family and friends continue to hold out hope for her safe return.

It was on June 12, 2023 that police first received information that Autumn was missing.

"In the past year, Autumn Shaganash has been subject of numerous searches, a recent electronic billboard and transit bus campaign, and on February 8 of this year, the Barrie Police Service’s Board authorized a reward of up to $50,000 for information confirming her current whereabouts," according to a police news release last month.

Autumn was 26-years-old at the time of her disappearance.

She was last seen on Saturday, June 10, 2023 between 10:00 a.m. and noon near Sunnidale Park, and she was wearing tan-coloured leggings, slip on Puman sandals, black hoodie and was carrying a black and tan purse.

According to investigators, video surveillance from a home in the area shows Shaganash walking with a man, and each of them carrying a ski.

"The male was walking just ahead of her as they made their way towards the Barrie waterfront to watch an air show. Autumn never made it; as the friend, who has been interviewed by detectives, states at one point he looked back and Autumn was no longer following him. She just vanished into thin air, without a sound or cry for help, she was gone and never seen or heard from again," police said.

Investigators have also said that on June 10, 2023, her sister received a text message from Shaganash asking to be picked up. When her sister tried to respond to the message about three minutes later, her phone went to voicemail and appeared to have been turned off.
