A birthday party in Mexico turned intense earlier this week after a bear crashed a family picnic.
It happened at Chipinque Park just outside of Monterrey when a family was celebrating a teen's 15th birthday party.
When all the food was out, a bear hopped on the table and started devouring the meal.
The mother covered her sons eyes to keep him from seeing the animal.
In an interview with the Associated Press, Silvia Macías explains that her son Santiago has Down syndrome and is terrified of animals.
"That's why I covered his eyes, because I didn't want him to see it and scream or run. I was afraid that if he got scared or screamed or scared the bear, the bear would react," she said.
Other family members can be seen staying completely still while the bear was only a few inches away from them, while her other friend carefully caught the moment on video.
Thankfully, the bear walked away after finishing his meal, and no one was harmed.
