Drinks were not on the house, but a break and enter suspect helped himself and allegedly made off with over $1,500 in alcohol from a restaurant on Fairview Road.
Barrie police say cleaning staff arrived around 8 a.m. Monday morning and found a broken window.

Once inside, he selected a quantity of assorted alcoholic beverages from behind the bar and canned beverages from refrigerators and loaded them up into containers. Prior to leaving, a number of bottles of red wine were thrown around the restaurant. These bottles shattered and created a large mess," according to a police news release on Wednesday.
The suspect is described as a white male, 150-170 lbs, long hair and a short beard, and was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, light pants and was carrying a cross
Damage to the window was about $1,000, according to police.
