A motorcyclist who suffered life-threatening injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Washago has died.
Around 8:45 p.m. on Nov. 4, police responded to a report of a motorcycle collision on Muskoka Street. When officers arrived, they found a man lying in the middle of the road. Rama firefighters and County of Simcoe paramedics were on scene providing life-saving measures.
The investigation determined the motorcycle was southbound on Muskoka Street when the driver appeared to have lost control after entering the shoulder of the road. The motorcycle slid some distance, police said, before coming to rest on the northbound shoulder.
The bike rider, a 57-year-old Ramara Township man, was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre, and police said in an update on Wednesday that he died of his injuries on Nov. 10.
