Motorcyclist sustains life-altering injuries in crash in Georgian Bay Township

Police say rider struck a rock face

A 43-year-old man was airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre with life-altering injuries following a single-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle in Georgian Bay Township.

Around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Southern Georgian Bay OPP say the rider left Muskoka Road 34, east of Highway 400, between Art’s Lane and Trillium Lane and struck a rock face.

Police were assisted at the scene by Georgian Bay Township firefighters and County of Simcoe paramedics.

The investigation into the crash continues.
