There was a conversation between the driver and police which prompted an impaired driving investigation that resulted in the driver being put into custody and taken to the local OPP detachment.

The 51-year-old man from Orillia was charged with multiple offences including operation while impaired and dangerous driving.

He also failed to provide an insurance card or a permit when he was pulled over and it was later realized that he was driving under suspension.

The man was released from custody, will appear in court on July 10 and will have his drivers license suspended again for 90 days. His vehicle was also towed and impounded for a week.
