
Barrie police laid multiple charges against a 37-year-old woman following a single-vehicle crash in the south part of the city.
Around 6:17 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to a 911 call for a possible impaired driver who was northbound on Huronia Road between Big Bay Point Road and Mapleview Drive East, when the vehicle swerved off the road and into a ditch.
When officers arrived at the scene, police stated that the motorist was out of the vehicle and a 14-year-old male passenger had left the scene.

"While speaking with the driver, officers detected a strong odour of alcohol and noticed her eyes appeared bloodshot and glossed over," according to a police news release.
There were no injuries as a result of the crash.
The road was temporarily blocked for vehicle recovery.
The motorist was charged with operation while prohibited, failure or refusal to comply with a demand, fail to comply with a probation order, and careless driving.
