Need for speed alarms Oro-Medonte councillor

Shawn Scott has started a "Please Slow Down" campaign

From speeding to stunt driving, Oro-Medonte Ward 4 Councillor Shawn Scott has heard the outcry from constituents and he has responded to those concerns.

Scott has started a “Please Slow Down” campaign targeting driver behaviour.

He has deployed “Please Slow Down” signs in locations that have been identified by constituents as problem areas. The signs were designed and purchased by Scott and have been placed on properties of participating residents.

The response has been overwhelmingly positive and Scott’s council colleague, Ward 3 councillor Cathy Keane, is going to do the same thing and will be placing signs out in the near future.

The OPP have assured Scott increased enforcement has been taking place and constituents have verified what police have told him.
