Today is the final day that Netflix will send movies through the mail.
Yes, they were still doing this.
Before becoming the main streaming service, Netflix sent movies, shows, and games through the good old-fashioned mail system.
It allowed people to rent what they wanted from the comfort of their homes and caused massive competition for video rental stores.
The company launched the service in 1998, mailing its first film, "Beetlejuice," and, at its peak, had more than 16 million subscribers.
The numbers slowly started to dwindle once they switched to streaming in 2007.
It's bittersweet for those who still utilize the service, as die-hard customers will receive some films as a parting gift.
Otherwise, customers have until October 27 to return any movies they still have.
