New COVID-19 case in Penetanguishene the only addition to local caseload, provincial tally increased by 102

Only four provincial health units reporting double-digit additions, all others reporting five or fewer

The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit is reporting just one new case of COVID-19 in the region: a Penetanguishene man between the ages of 35 and 44.

This caseload addition represents the lowest so far this week; the health unit confirmed four cases each on Monday and Tuesday.

Just 102 new cases of COVID-19 were reported by Public Health Ontario on Wednesday, along with 135 recoveries and nine lives lost.

Health Units in Toronto, Peel, York, and Windsor-Essex continue to report double-digit numbers, all others reporting five or fewer.
