A drug trafficking investigation in New Tecumseth by provincial police ended with charges laid on three people.
Nottawasaga OPP say the probe started this fall regarding a male trafficking drugs in downtown Alliston.
"Officers observed activity consistent with drug trafficking and obtained a CDSA Search warrant," OPP said in a release today.
Yesterday, officers said they spotted a second male suspect conducting a drug transaction in Tottenham and later arrested him.
The Nottawasaga Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) then attended a residence on Knight Street in Alliston just before 1 p.m. and executed a search warrant.
Police seized the following items during their search of the residence and three vehicles:
- Approximately 2 ounces of cocaine
- 4 imitation handguns
- 1 imitation rifle
- 1 prohibited knife
- 12 knives
- 5 sword/Axe/Cleavers
- 2 cell phones
- brass knuckles
- body armour carrier
- 2 stolen sets of headphones
- Scales
OPP say a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck worth roughly $30,000 was also seized as offence-related property.

A 36-year-old Adjala-Tosorontio man faces the following charges:
- Trafficking in Schedule I substance- Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of imitation weapon for Dangerous Purpose (4 counts)
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Breach of Recognizance
A 38-year-old Alliston man was charged with:
- Trafficking in Schedule I substance- Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Carrying concealed weapon
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Possession of imitation weapon for Dangerous Purpose (4 counts)
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Breach of Recognizance
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada (2 counts)
A 35-year-old from Alliston is up on:
- Trafficking in Schedule I substance- Cocaine
- Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking - Cocaine
- Possession of imitation weapon for Dangerous Purpose (4 counts)
- Possession of a prohibited device
- Possession Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 - in Canada (2 counts)
The 36 and 38-year-olds have been held for a bail hearing Thursday, while the 35-year-old was released on an undertaking and is scheduled for court in January.
