Celebration of Life for Late Deputy Mayor

The Celebration of Life for the late Jim Crawford will be held Saturday December 22nd at the Oakwood Community Centre in Victoria Harbour.

The recently elected Deputy Mayor of Tay Township passed away suddenly Friday.

Crawford was first elected to Tay council in 2014, and won his bid as deputy mayor in the October election. Crawford was just sworn in on December 6th.

“We are deeply saddened by the terrible news,” said Mayor Ted Walker. “On behalf of Council, staff and Tay residents, I extend our condolences, thoughts and prayers to Jim’s family and the love of his life Lillian.”
