The Barrie Colts' Cole Beaudoin was selected 24th in the first round of the 2024 NHL Entry Draft on Friday night.
The Utah Hockey Club - which was recently created and will start the 2024-25 season - made the pick.

Beaudoin had 62 points in the 2023-24 season for the Colts and led the team with 12 power-play goals and three short-handed goals.
He also captured gold in the 2024 U18 World Championship.
Beaudoin was one of 14 CHL players selected in the first round.
