Nobody hurt after Barrie Transit bus involved in hit and run

Police on the hunt for grey pickup with passenger-side damage

While the damage was minimal, police still want to speak to the driver of a pickup accused of being involved in a hit and run with a city bus.

A Barrie Transit bus was making a turn at the intersection of Anne and Brock Streets around 12:40 on the afternoon of Tuesday, January 28th, when police say it was hit from behind by a pickup truck. There were no injuries and only minor damage to the bus. There were no injuries as a result of the collision.

Barrie Police believe the pickup truck would have suffered damage to the passenger side mirror and possibly the surrounding area. Aside from the damage, the vehicle is described as grey in colour with an open bed containing an aluminum toolbox.
