Norm Macdonald's final standup performance is coming to Netflix.

"Norm MacDonald: Nothing Special" was filmed secretly in late 2020.

He had been working on material for a special, but with no venues open at the time, he filmed the performance by himself in his living room in one take.

The great comedian passed away in September 2021 after a long and private battle with acute leukemia.

In an interview with "The Hollywood Reporter," his longtime producing partner Lori Jo Hoekstra said he filmed it the night before he went in for a procedure. "It was his intention to have a special to share if something happened," she says.

Macdonald passed away a year after it was filmed.
