Barrie firefighters battled a house fire in the north part of the city on Sunday night.
A fire official told Barrie 360 that the blaze was called in around 6:40 p.m. and that one person was transported to hospital.

The extent of their injuries is unknown.
Flames and billowing smoke could be seen coming from the residence, located on Livia Herman Way, in the area of St. Vincent St. and Livingstone St. East.
The Ontario Fire Marshal has been called in.
