North Simcoe Youth Symposium to be held May 5th in Midland

Tiny Youth of the year being awarded during syposium

Close to 200 youths, between the ages of 7 and 12, will have their say on issues affecting them during a symposium in Midland.

The 2020 North Simcoe Youth Symposium, being organized by the Township of Tiny’s Youth Advisory Committee is being held on May 5th.

The sessions include networking opportunities with leaders, organizations, practitioners, and decision-makers on the issues and challenges that youth face every day.

There will be keynote speakers, community panels, healthy active living options, and exhibits about local youth service providers. Organizations will be there sharing youth and volunteer opportunities in the Township of Tiny and North Simcoe.

Meanwhile, for the first time, the Tiny Youth of the Year Award will be announced. The award will recognize an outstanding young person who has contributed to the enrichment of the social, cultural and civic life of the Township of Tiny.
