Novice Innisfil driver charged with impaired after striking guardrail on Highway 400

A 20-year-old novice driver from Innisfil has been charged with impaired driving after Ontario Provincial Police received calls around 5:30 Tuesday morning about a vehicle that struck a guardrail and continued driving on Highway 400 southbound at Aurora Road.

Along with the impaired driving offence, police say the motorist was also charged with possession of a controlled substance and novice driver violations.

His vehicle has been impounded for 14 days, and his driver's licence has been suspended for 90 days.
