A two-vehicle collision on Tuesday night led to two being arrested and charged by Nottawasaga OPP and having "substantial" quantity of suspected cocaine seized.

Just after 10 p.m., officers responded to the crash at the intersection of 4th Line and Sideroad 15 in New Tecumseth, where the vehicles were found in the ditch. One person was brought by ambulance to a local hospital with minor injuries.

An impaired driving investigation began with two occupants from one of the involved vehicles eventually being arrested and officers seizing a large amount of what's believed to be cocaine.

As a result, the driver, a 26-year-old from New Tecumseth, was given five charges including driving with liquor and cannabis readily available; driving while under suspension; public mischief; and the possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

Their passenger, a 34-year-old man from New Tecumseth, was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, permitting the vehicle to be operated without insurance; and having liquor in an open container in an unauthorized place.

OPP say accused parties were released on a Form 10 Undertaking and are set to attend court in Bradford at a future court date.
