Investigators determine cause of Fox Run house fire

UPDATE: Barrie fire officials confirmed with Barrie 360 on Friday afternoon that a blaze at a Fox Run home on Thursday morning started in the basement and was accidental.

The spokesperson said a damage total was not yet available.

Barrie fire crews rescued a dog and a cat that remained in a 20 Fox Run home after a blaze at the residence Thursday morning.

At around 7 a.m., emergency responders were alerted about the fire.

Authorities told Barrie 360 that the occupants of the home got out safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and there is no damage total available.
