HBO has released its first image and update for its Game of Thrones prequel series "House of Dragons".
Adapted from the book Fire & Blood, House of Dragons takes place 300 years before the start of Game of Thrones and follows the politics of house Targaryen after their conquest of Westeros and the creation of the Iron Throne.

There are a few notable names attached to the project including Paddy Considine and Rhys Ifans. Doctor Who fans will also recognize Matt Smith who will be playing Daemon Targaryen. One of the showrunners, Miguel Sapochnik, also directed some of the original series' highest-rated episodes including Battle of the Bastards.
While details about the show are still scarce, we do know it will have ten episodes in its first season and is set to premiere sometime in 2022.
