One person taken to hospital following three-vehicle crash on Highway 400 in Barrie

Police say injuries are non-life-threatening

Traffic on Highway 400 southbound was gummed up by a closure on Tuesday morning following a collision involving three vehicles at Dunlop Street.

OPP Sgt. Kerry Schmidt says the driver of a car was hit from behind as the vehicle was slowing in traffic.

According to police, the lone occupant of the car was transported to the hospital in Barrie with non-life-threatening injuries.

So far, there is no word on charges.

The southbound lanes reopened shortly before noon.
