One person killed, three others with life-threatening injuries in Highway 26 crash in Clearview

Provincial police say a Barrie woman was killed in a head-on crash between a car and a pickup truck on Highway 26 east of Sunnidale Corners in Clearview Township.

The collision happened shortly after 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

OPP say the 46-year-old was the driver of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. Two 48-year-old female passengers, one from Newmarket and the other from Scarborough, were airlifted to a Toronto trauma centre in life-threatening condition.

The lone occupant of the truck, a 45-year-old Clearview Township man, also suffered life-threatening injuries and is in a Toronto trauma centre.

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage and has not yet spoken with police is asked to call Huronia West OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
