The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is releasing a video in the hope of resolving a murder that occurred near Midland one year ago.
Jonus Keegan Palmer was 24-years-old when he was shot and killed on the night of July 5, 2021 outside of a home where he was staying on Old Fort Road in Tay Township. Police note there were several other occupants at the residence that night. The residence where these tragic events unfolded has since been sold and its current owners have no connection to this investigation.
A video appeal for information that includes members of Jonus' family is being linked today through the OPP's social media platforms - Facebook Central Region; Twitter @OPP_CR, YouTube and Instagram - for members of the public to share with their respective audiences.
The investigation by the Southern Georgian Bay OPP Crime Unit continues, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
