In the meantime, Health Minister Christine Elliott put out a series of tweets Thursday morning saying the move “will help identify and contain new cases and monitor any shifts in community spread.”

The news comes as the province is set to announce when the first stage of its reopening plan will happen. And, it comes as the province reported its lowest number of new daily cases since March 29.

Ontario has revised its COVID-19 testing guidelines several times since the outbreak began.
